Welcome to the Microsurgery Laboratory
The Microsurgery Laboratory was created in the 1980's as part of the
Orthopaedic department with the main purpose of introducing residents and
physicians to microsurgical techniques. Currently, the
microsurgery laboratory not only serves the Emory community but also
other institutions in the state area such as the Medical College of
Georgia and the Atlanta Medical Center. The laboratory is open to
residents, physicians, researchers and allied health professional with
the need to acquire microsurgical skills.
The laboratory is located at the Whitehead Biomedical Research
Building. This new facility opened in 2001, and is one of Emory’s
new efforts for the advancement of science in various fields such as cell biology, neurology, physiology, etc.
